Privacy notice
This tells you what Marigold Coffee Co collects, why, and what we do (and don't do) with it. Short version: we collect the bare minimum to run the truck — orders, contact details you give us on purpose, and the analytics our website software records. We don't sell your data. Anything sensitive stays with the providers we use, not with us.
1.What we collect
Your name and any contact details you give us when ordering, booking an event, or subscribing to our list. For orders: what you ordered, when, and how you paid (card or cash — we don't see your card number). For the website: standard log data (page visited, rough location, device type) that any web server keeps.
2.Why we collect it
To make and hand you the drink you ordered; to confirm bookings; to send you the emails you signed up for; to keep the books straight for our accountant; and to know how the site is being used so we can fix what's broken and improve what isn't.
3.Who we share it with
The card processor that handles your payment, the email provider we send from, and the hosting provider that runs this site. Each of them holds the smallest slice of information they need to do their part. We don't sell your details, and we don't hand them over for marketing.
4.Marketing emails
You only get marketing from us if you opted in — at the window, in checkout, or on our contact page. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom; using it takes you off the list straight away.
5.How long we keep it
Order records: as long as our accountant needs (usually six to seven years, for tax). Marketing subscribers: until you unsubscribe. Event enquiries: for a year, in case you come back. If you want us to delete something earlier, ask.
6.Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or unsubscribe from any list. Email hello@marigoldcoffeeco.com and we'll handle it within a reasonable time.
7.Children
The website isn't aimed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them. If you're a parent and think we have your child's data, contact us and we'll delete it.
8.Cookies
The site uses only the essential cookies needed to remember your cart and to keep you signed in if you're a staff member. We don't run advertising trackers.
